I was digging through a drawer full of treasured goods and came upon my first diary.  Each turn of a page caused multiple facial expressions that could not be contained.  Some made me cringe, others offered a smile but most common was an immediate burst of laughter.  For your entertainment and mine, here are some.

Dear Diary,
Today I went to church and found out we're going to Rhode Island.  when we got there we ate dinner and watched movies.  Gosh Paul is such a hunk.  And the grown ups went somewhere and came back at 2:00 am!  Till next time.

Dear Diary,

Today was the first day of school.  We got the worst people for gym.  The only good people are Mario, Jimmy, Christopher.  Gosh mommy is so mean!  I think she hit me a zillion times today.  Hyon got curly hair and many others.

New word of the day for Friday the 13th of April:

SPOONERISM \SPOO-nuh-riz-uhm\, noun:

[You would think it would mean the belief, practice or the idea of spooning but its not!  haha]

Definition - The transposition of usually initial sounds in a pair of words.

 Some examples:
We all know what it is to have a half-warmed fish ["half-formed
 wish"] inside us.
The Lord is a shoving leopard ["loving shepherd"].
It is kisstomary to cuss ["customary to kiss"] the bride.
Is the bean dizzy ["dean busy"]?
When the boys come back from France, we'll have the hags flung
out ["flags hung out"]!
Let me sew you to your sheet ["show you to your seat"].

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Spoonerism comes from the name of the Rev. William Archibald
Spooner (1844-1930), a kindly but nervous Anglican clergyman and
educationalist. All the above examples were committed by (or
attributed to) him.
